  16. The WD33C93A is a SCSI controller. It is compatible with SCSI-I and SCSI-II.
  17. It does not support some SCSI-II options like tagged command queueing
  18. (although it would be possible to use these options) and it cannot be
  19. used for some other options (like Fast SCSI, i.e. 10MHz synchronous transfers).

  21. The PROTO just says that it was produced before enough parts passed
  22. the production test. It works absolutely the same as a chip without
  23. the PROTO marking.

  28. state machine (and introduces new bugs). It is as compatible to SCSI-II

  35. If you want Fast-SCSI performance you would need a WD33C93B but a simple
  36. replacement will not work. You need some changes to the A3000 motherboard

  43. problems I wouldn't change the chip.
